Latest sanitary measures that affect the Communities of Owners

This Saturday the RESOLUTION SLT/1934/2021, of June 18, by which the public health measures are extended and modified to contain the epidemic outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the territory of Catalonia. Specifically, it affects the meetings of the communities of owners and the actions of the communities with swimming pools.

This Resolution comes into force as of MONDAY, JUNE 21, and will be effective until 00.00 hours on July 5, 2021

Regarding the Owners’ Meetings and community pools, the following affects:

HOMEOWNER COMMUNITIES MEETINGS:

The ban on meetings of more than 10 PEOPLE is lifted.

Consequently, meetings of Communities of Owners can already be held in person, even if more than 10 people attend. However, it is RECOMMENDED that the maximum number of 10 people is not exceeded.

The obligation to convene and hold Meetings of the Communities of owners remains suspended until DECEMBER 31, 2021.

The last approved annual budget is understood to be extended until the Ordinary Meeting is held, in which, when it is done, the previous accounts must be approved and the positions renewed.

The suspension of the obligation to convene Community Meetings, it is understood, without prejudice, that the community may hold meetings at the initiative of the president or at the request of at least 20% of the owners with the right to vote and who represent a coefficient of at least 20%.

The Owners Meetings can be held:

  • IN PERSON: Recommendation of a maximum of 10 people.
  • TELEMATICALLY
  • AGREEMENTS WITHOUT MEETING (until the ordinary meeting is called or held)

COMMUNITY POOLS:

In accordance with current regulations (section 9, point 5 of the Resolution), we currently understand that COMMUNITY POOLS can be used following the following conditions:

  • Ensure that 70% of its capacity is not exceeded.
  • Establish access control.
  • The changing rooms can be opened, as long as the minimum ventilation established in current regulations.
